Asia seafood industry gears up for ASE 2013

Organizers of Asian Seafood Exposition 2013 are pleased with the strong response from the seafood industry for this year’s even, scheduled for 3-5 September 2013.

"We are very encouraged by the strong support that the event has received to date," said Mary Larkin, VP of seafood expositions for Diversified Business Communications, the company producing the show. The company is also the parent company of SeafoodSource.

Over 160 seafood companies from around the world are expected to be exhibiting at the event, which will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.

The expo will feature events such as master classes, culinary demonstrations and conferences. The events will feature industry professionals and distinguished chefs who will share their expertise on premium seafood such as lobster, abalone, sea cucumbers, sea urchins and other species. The events will show attendees how to grow, source, select, handle and prepare the seafood.

The show is designed to offer specialist seafood buyers, chefs and suppliers a chance to review, sample and showcase products, plus learn about upcoming trends.

"We are delighted to be able to provide an environment where Asia's leading seafood experts can convene to examine the trends, strategies, risks and profit opportunities affecting the industry, as well as network and forge meaningful partnerships with key decision makers in the sector," Larkin said.
