Asian Seafood Exposition is here

Next week, 4,000-plus exhibitors and visitors from around the world will descend upon the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center in Wanchai, Hong Kong, to meet and greet, buy and sell seafood and everything in between.

The inaugural Asian Seafood Exposition features 101 exhibiting companies and organizations from 21 countries, including six country and regional pavilions — Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, Australia and two U.S. pavilions. Visitors from more than 82 countries are expected to attend the three-day event.

The Asian Seafood Exposition will be held from 7 to 9 September alongside Restaurant & Bar Hong Kong 2010, a regional fine-dining and bar trade show that’s been in operation for eight years. To register, click here.

A welcome cocktail reception will be held on 7 September from 4 to 5 p.m., and a reception featuring representatives from embassies and trade commissions worldwide will be held on 8 September from 4 to 5 p.m. The reception gives exporters from visiting countries an opportunity to learn more about doing business in the Hong Kong market. Both receptions take place on the show floor and are open to all attendees.

Additionally, a conference titled “Analysis of the Asian Consumer Market” will be held in Room S226/227 in the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center on 8 September from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. At the seminar, which is open to all attendees, analysis of consumers’ seafood-purchasing behaviors in the Hong Kong and southern mainland China markets will be presented by the Perishables Group, a Chicago-based research and consulting firm.

The Asian Seafood Exposition is organized by Diversified Business Communications of Portland, Maine, which also runs the European Seafood Exposition and International Boston Seafood Show and publishes SeaFood Business magazine and SeafoodSource.com.
