Atlantic Gourmet opens new factory

Atlantic Gourmet announced this week the opening of its new seafood processing factory in Lignol, France, as part of a relocation of its operations in Ecuador.

The company, a subsidiary of the La Baule, France-based Atlantic Seafood company, is producing pasteurized cooked fish, frozen raw or cooked fish, mixes for sandwiches and ready-meal industries, and other customized products. The new factory processes tuna, mackerel, cod, sardines and other fish.

This is part of Atlantic Seafood’s partial relocation of its production from its factory in Ecuador. The company expects to produce 2,000 metric tons (MT) at the new factory by the end of the year, with a production capacity higher than 6,000 MT/year.
