Australis Seafoods on Friday announced that it has acquired 50 percent interest in True Pacific Holding Co., a Miami-based seafood distributor.
The Chilean company said the purchase will allow it to increase its Atlantic salmon sales in the United States.
According to a report, Australis will pay a fixed amount of USD 4 million and a variable figure that corresponds to 25 percent of profits after corporate taxes that True Pacific will receive between 2011 and 2017.
