Danish fish processor buys into Norway company

Danish whitefish processor Espersen has boosted its stake in Norway Seafoods with a purchase of 11.9 percent of the company’s shares.

According to a statement from Norway Seafoods, Marine Harvest sold its share in the company to Espersen, increasing the processor’s stake in the group to 14.4 percent. The sale price was not disclosed.

Norwegian company Aker is Norway Seafoods’ largest shareholder with 73.6 percent, but with the latest acquisition Espersen has become the second largest shareholder.
