DOC changes final pangasius antidumping duties

Due to some calculation errors on 9 May 2014, the Department of Commerce (DOC) made some changes in its final results of the ninth antidumping duty administrative reviews on certain frozen pangasius fillets imported from Vietnam from 1 August 2011 to 31 July 2012.

According to the DOC, Vinh Hoan Corp. alleged that the department made errors in the calculation of the company’s fish oil byproduct offset. DOC analyzed the allegations and determined errors were made and recommended making changes to the final results.

As a result, the anti-dumping tax imposed to Vinh Hoan was reduced from USD 0.03 (EUR 0.02) per kilogram (kg) to zero. Other separate rate respondents have to pay USD 1.20 (EUR 0.88) per kg instead of the rate of USD 0.42 (EUR 0.31) per kg set in the final decision published on 31 March.
