Massachusetts, U.S.-based Eastern Fisheries on Wednesday announced they have acquired a minority interest in Global Marketing, Inc. a leading exporter of Japan scallops.
“We are continuing our commitment to vertical integration, attempting to eliminate unnecessary costs, whenever possible. This acquisition brings us one step closer to fulfilling that commitment,” said Joe Furtado, Eastern Fisheries executive VP.
“Global Marketing has decades of experience in this region and has continually proven itself as a leading exporter. This acquisition officially brings one of the largest purchasers of Japanese scallops together with one of the largest exporters of Japanese scallops,” said Furtado.
