Fred Meyer Stores yesterday named Pacific Seafood Group of Clackamas, Ore., as its Vendor of the Year for 2007.
"Operational excellence is our business model to meet customer needs with top quality products and excellent service, so this is an honor we are very proud of," said Frank Dulcich, president and CEO of Pacific Seafood Group, in a press release. "Fred Meyer is an exceptional partner and we look forward to many more years of service."
Nominees for the award were selected by Fred Meyer divisional buying and merchandising staff based on several key performance criteria, as well as general cooperation and enthusiasm toward achieving mutual goals.
Pacific Seafood will be honored at a celebration dinner in March, and its name will be inscribed on a plaque that will be showcased in the Fred Meyer headquarters lobby in Portland, Ore.
Fred Meyer Stores, a division of The Kroger Co., operates 127 multi-department stores in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.
