U.S. seafood importer and distributor H&N Foods International has purchased importer Berdex Seafood, H&N announced today.
Berdex Seafood is an importer of frozen seafood and has served customers throughout the United States for 20 years. The acquisition was closed April 22, however, specific terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Berdex’s San Francisco office will consolidate into H&N’s Burlingame, Calif., office. Berdex's sales team in Vancouver, Wash., will continue to serve from that location as they become integrated with H&N’s products and services.
“We are pleased to add the Berdex name and its reputable brand Tiger Bay to H&N. We believe that this acquisition will contribute to our solid foundation for long-term growth and continued success,” said Hua Ngo, founder and president of H&N Foods.
H&N was founded by Ngo in San Francisco as H&N Fish Co. in 1981.
