Harvest Select Adds Craft, McPherson to Operations Team

Harvest Select Catfish on Tuesday announced two appointments to its operations management team.

With more than 24 years of catfish industry experience, Phil Craft assumed the position of VP of operations. In his new role, Craft will oversee plant operations at the company's processing facilities in Uniontown, Ala., and Eudora, Ark.

"Phil Craft has a great sense of the industry in both the value-added, and operations and supply sectors," says Harvest Select President Randy Rhodes. "He knows the leaders, knows the equipment and knows what we need to put in place to make our plant operations more efficient from both cost and productivity standpoints."

Russ McPherson was hired as the company's general manager at its Eudora facility. McPherson has been charged with modernizing the facility with energy-efficient and more productive equipment. He has held numerous positions within the catfish industry, from plant to executive level.

Harvest Select Catfish is a vertically integrated company with farms in Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas. The company processes more than 950,000 pounds of catfish weekly.
