Andrew Mallison has been named director general of the International Fishmeal and Fish Oil Organization (IFFO).
Mallison comes to the IFFO from the Marine Stewardship Council, where he served as director of standards and licensing since 2009. Previously, he worked for retailer Marks & Spencer, responsible for global seafood procurement and sustainability.
Mallison will join the IFFO on 9 May. He will work with Jonathan Shepherd, the IFFO's current director general, until Shepherd retires at the end of 2011 after seven years in the position.
The IFFO is a non-profit organization based in the United Kingdom.
