Lam Kee Fisheries won the Best New Product award at the third annual 2025 Seafood Excellence Asia competition for its Snow Treasures Miso-Marinated Cod Cube.
According to event organizer Diversified, the Seafood Excellence Asia awards recognize the product leaders in the Asian seafood market, with finalists representing new seafood products from around the world. Seafood Expo Asia announced eight finalists in the competition in August, and the winners were announced 10 September at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Singapore. Singapore-based Lam Kee Fisheries said its Snow Treasures Miso-Marinated Cod Cube is made with “tender, buttery Chilean seabass, hand-cut into bite-sized cubes and marinated in our house-made miso glaze” and is ideal for oven-baking, air-frying, or pan-searing.
“Crafted with a balance of sweet and savory umami, each piece delivers melt-in-your-mouth richness with every bite,” the company said. “Conveniently portioned and ready to cook – perfect for busy kitchens, home cooks, or restaurants looking for premium quality with minimal prep time.”
Cao Lanh City, Dong Thap Province, Vietnam-based Vinh Hoan Corporation was named the first runner up for its Protein Pho Fusion, while Milas, Turkey-based Gumusdoga Su Urunleri was named second runner up for its Frozen Salmon Trout Fillet.
The finalists were judged live at Seafood Expo Asia by a panel of high-volume seafood buyers and industry experts: Central Food Wholesales Ltd. from Thailand, Emart from South Korea, SATS Catering from Singapore, and Cold Storage and Giant from Singapore. The products were evaluated on eating experience, packaging, market potential, originality, and convenience.
The Snow Treasures Miso-Marinated Cod Cube and other products submitted for the Seafood Excellence Asia awards will be on display at Seafood Expo Asia in the Product Showcase at Stand #D19. They can also be viewed online on the event’s website.
