Seafood Expo Asia brought together over 4,190 seafood professionals from 75 countries in the 13th edition of the event, which ran from 10 to 12 September at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore.
Event organizer Diversified said the three-day event saw success with its Business Matchmaking Program, a networking opportunity allowing exhibitors and buyers to pre-schedule meetings onsite. More than 440 meetings were confirmed through the program, which took place alongside other events like the conference program, the product showcase, and Seafood Excellence Asia Awards. At the 2025 Seafood Excellence Asia Awards, Singapore-based Lam Kee Fisheries won Best New Product for its Snow Treasures Miso-Marinated Cod Cube, Cao Lanh City, Dong Thap Province, Vietnam-based Vinh Hoan Corporation was named the first runner up for its Protein Pho Fusion, andMilas, Turkey-based Gumusdoga Su Urunleri was named second runner up for its Frozen Salmon Trout Fillet.
The conference program featured a keynote by leading economist Manu Bhaskaran and covered a range of topics, including sustainable and accountable supply chains in Asia, market access to the region, and the strategic value of sustainability certifications.
At the expo, Diversified said 42 exhibiting countries took part in this year’s event including: Australia, Canada, Chile, Ecuador, France, Germany, Honduras, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Vietnam, and Yemen.
“This Expo is super relevant for us because we don’t just connect deeper with our Singapore customers, but also with customers across the region, so customers coming from Sri Lanka, India, Vietnam, and Thailand,” AquaChile Regional Manager Rodrigo Bustos said in a release. “For example, on day one we had thirty-one meetings from 7 to 10 markets across the region, so it's an incredible opportunity for us to connect and find new opportunities.”
Diversified said a number of high-volume buyers also attended Seafood Expo Asia, including buyers from Central Food Wholesale in Thailand, CJ Freshway in the Republic of Korea, Fairprice Group in Singapore, Mida Food Distributors in the Philippines, Emart from Vietnam and the Republic of Korea, Suntech International Food Co. from Hong Kong SAR, and SMS International Sysco from Ireland.
“We were honored to participate in Seafood Expo Asia, one of the leading platforms showcasing the future of the global seafood industry," Emart General Manager Darren Hong said. “Through this event, we gained valuable insights into emerging trends, and we met several potential suppliers. We have already confirmed an order with one Chinese supplier and are currently in discussions with others.”
Diversified said the 14th edition of Seafood Expo Asia will take place from 2 to 4 September in 2026.
