Maine Lobster Task Force Chooses Growth Consultants

Maine Gov. John Baldacci last week chose The Moseley Group to help strengthen and improve the state’s iconic lobster fishery.

The Governor’s Task Force on the Economic Sustainability of Maine’s Lobster Industry, formed last fall after a sharp decline in lobster prices, chose Moseley for its experience working with leading food and beverage companies.

“Working with Maine’s lobster industry is very rewarding and meaningful to me,” said Kristen Bailey, a VP at Moseley, who will be the lead consultant on the project. “Our firm looks forward to utilizing our experience with other industries to help strengthen and improve the economic model of Maine’s lobster industry.”

A Maine native and former executive director of the Maine Lobster Promotion Council, Bailey was the architect of the Certified Maine Lobster program that was aimed at preserving markets and strengthening the Maine lobster brand. She operates offices in Portland, Maine, and Franklin, Mass.

The Moseley Group has worked with internationally known brands and products like Coca-Cola, Ocean Spray, Juan Valdez, Nestle and others.
