New, returning companies boost Seafood Expo Asia 2015

With two months to go before Seafood Expo Asia opens in Hong Kong, already more exhibitors have booked space at the seafood show than last year.

“It is exciting to report that the exhibit space booked for this year’s event is more than 770 square meters larger than it was at this time last year,” said show director Terri Tsang. “This growth is an indication that companies recognize the strong opportunities that the Asian market has to offer.”

The sixth installment of the exposition is scheduled for 8 to 10 September at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. Already, more than 115 exhibitors from 29 countries including Argentina, Australia, Bahrain, Canada, China, Chile, France, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Mauritius, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, and the United States have confirmed participation.

More than 55 new exhibiting companies will have first time participants, including Lenger Seafoods Group and Poseidon Food from the Netherlands, Trangs Group represented by their Vietnam office and several new exhibitors from France, Norway, Canada, Spain, Vietnam, the United States, Netherlands and Chile.

Tsang said a survey following the 2014 expo showed more than 80 percent of exhibitors planned to return, using the expo to conduct business, find new suppliers, learn about new industry developments, network with other seafood professionals and brainstorm business ideas.
