New York’s Fulton Fish Market closes due to blizzard

New York’s famed wholesale seafood market, the New Fulton Fish Market Cooperative at Hunts Point, closed Monday night, 26 January, due to blizzard conditions across the Northeast United States.

The market is expected to open again early Wednesday morning. All inquiries into the market’s status should be directed to 718-378-8020.
Tuesday’s storm, which stretches from New Jersey to northern Maine, is expected to snarl air and road traffic and cause delivery delays across the region with up to two feet of snow forecasted for certain areas.
