Fresh from the acquisition of Iglo Foods Holdings, London-based Nomad Holdings is now in talks concerning the possible acquisition of London-based Findus Group, known for being the parent company of frozen seafood company Young’s Seafood.
Nomad told Bloomberg News only that “the talks are at a preliminary stage,” and there was no deal on paper yet. If the deal happens, it will position Nomad as being one of the largest frozen food companies in Europe. Nomad announced in April that it was acquiring Iglo for EUR 2.6 billion (USD billion). Iglo is known as the manufacturer of various frozen retail food products, including fish fingers, under the brand Birds Eye.
