North Pacific Seafoods, an American seafood processor based in Alaska, has named Trident Seafoods manager John Garner as its new COO, effective 6 October.
Garner, a founding partner of Norquest Seafoods, began his career in the Alaska seafood industry as a commercial fishermen. He also served as a commissioner of the Alaska Commercial Fisheries Entry Commission and as a member of the Alaska Board of Fisheries.
Most recently, Garner worked at Trident Seafoods in various leadership roles including operations management and sales.
“John’s experience and industry knowledge will be great assets to the ongoing success of North Pacific Seafoods,” said Masayuki Yano, president and CEO at North Pacific. “We look forward to strengthening and expanding our seafood operations in Alaska with John’s involvement and leadership.”
