For the second consecutive week, prices of salmon from Norway dropped, according to Statistics Norway.
For the week of 10 to 16 September, the export price of fresh salmon come to NOK 26.92 (EUR 3.61; USD 4.72) per kilogram, down 5.9 percent from NOK 28.6 (EUR 3.84; USD 5.01) per kilogram last week.
However, volume of fresh salmon exports increased to 17,354 metric tons for the week, up 5.3 percent from 16.747 metric tons from 3 to 9 September.
Norway exported 645 metric tons of frozen salmon at NOK 29.4 (EUR 3.95; USD 5.15) per kilogram, down from 787 metric tons valued at NOK 29.98 (EUR 4.02; USD 5.26) per kilogram the previous week.
