NovaNam yesterday said the fact that its parent company, Pescanova, is filing for insolvency in Spain won’t impact on the subsidiary’s business in Namibia.
“It needs to be emphasized that this only impacts on the holding company in Spain, and in no way directly affects the operations of its subsidiaries throughout the world, which obviously includes its operations in Namibia and South Africa,” NovaNam said in a statement.
“In other words, we continue to operate normally and independently and it is business as usual as we have been doing all this time up to now. This is the best guarantee that we can offer all our stakeholders,” the statement continued.
