Santa Monica Seafood acquires rival

Santa Monica Seafood on Monday announced that it has acquired Long Beach Seafood Co., a Los Angeles-based seafood distributor that’s been in business for 90 years.

Tony and Star de Lucia, president and VP of sales of Long Beach Seafood, respectively, have joined Santa Monica Seafood and will continue to focus their efforts on sales to their customers.

Santa Monica Seafood is a family-owned and -operated seafood supplier in Santa Monica, Calif., that’s been in business for the past 72 years. The company will have approximately 300 employees, serving Southern California and the greater Las Vegas and Phoenix areas.
