Seafood Expo North America breaks own exhibit space record; 2019 date set

The 2018 version of Seafood Expo North America, which took place 11 to 13 March in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A., broke its own exhibit space record.

The three-day expo contained 258,360 net square feet of exhibit space, with 1,341 exhibiting companies from 57 countries, according to a press release [Editor’s note: Diversified Communications operates SeafoodSource]. Diversified notched more than 22,200 attendee visits to the expo, despite a late-season blizzard that dumped 15 inches of snow in the Boston area on the last day of the event.

“The seafood industry can face more challenging weather conditions than this,” Diversified Communications Event Director Wynter Courmont said. “Rain or shine, business needs to get done. The commute may have had its challenges, but the unseasonable wind and snow didn’t stop buyers from coming on that last day.”

The 2019 Seafood Expo North America will take place Sunday, 17 March to Tuesday, 19 March at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, according to organizer Diversified Communications.

Diversified operates seafood expos around the globe, including the upcoming Seafood Expo Global in Brussels, Belgium from Monday, 23 April to Wednesday, 25 April, 2018; the SeaWeb Seafood Summit, happening 18 to 21 June in Barcelona, Spain; and Seafood Expo Asia, taking place 4 to 6 September, 2018.
