Seafood industry leaders on the move - Vol. III

Andrew_Jackson.pngAndrew Jackson, Retiring from role as Technical Director for IFFO ◊ After spending 40 years within the seafood industry, Andrew Jackson will be retiring – and thus leaving behind his role as Technical Director for IFFO – by the end of 2015. Jackson has spent the past nine years of his career with the IFFO, and will remain as a part-time chairman of its responsible supply certification program standard when he retires this year.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with IFFO and have seen many changes both within the organization and within the industry as a whole,” Jackson said. “(IFFO) has managed to gain a much stronger voice in the world of fisheries and aquaculture through its work with a range of governments and international bodies and the launching of its responsible supply standard.”

Career Highlights: Chairman of the Scottish Salmon Producers Organization; Seafood Champion award recipient at the SeaWeb Seafood Summit in New Orleans in February 2015.
