Seafood industry veteran dies

Joseph Giampino of Raymond, Maine, a seafood industry veteran and managing partner of Fishjobs, passed away on 16 February at 48.

Born 15 December in Chicago to Joseph and Carol Giampino,  Giampino graduated from Lyons Township High School in LaGrange, Ill., and attended College of Dupage in Glen Ellyn, Ill. Married in 1991, Giampino and his wife, Pam, lived in the Boston area and Windham, Maine. He was the managing partner at Fishjobs LLC and worked in the seafood industry.

Giampino is survived by his three children Rio Smith of New York, Nicole Giampino of Windham, Maine, and Jack Giampino of Windham, Maine; his parents Joseph and Carol Giampino of Western Springs, Ill.; sister Laura Giampino and partner Colleen Halloran of Chicago; brother Scott Giampino and partner Amanda Viereck; and his friend Nancy Lalancette.?

Funeral service and mass will be held on Saturday, 19 February at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Windham. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either a college trust fund for the Giampino children at TD Bank North in Windham or the music ministry program at Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
