SeafoodSource seeks experienced industry editor for online site

SeafoodSource.com, the leading online website for seafood news, commentary, and analysis, announced it’s seeking an online editor with strong industry experience.

The online editor will serve as both a writer of regular news and commentary for the site, as well as a panel moderator at a number of industry trade shows produced by Diversified Communications, which owns SeafoodSource.com.

The SeafoodSource team is currently scouting prospects and hopes to find an editor well-versed in seafood industry topics. Additionally, the online editor will play a pivotal part in developmental plans for the site, including webinar production, social media efforts and the implementation of Premium membership campaigns.

Within the past year, SeafoodSource has reinvented itself to be a key player in the online seafood publishing space, launching a new website design, various one-of-a-kind industry features, and the number one social media presence in the space. The site’s Twitter account currently has more than 11,400 followers – the most among all of its competitors.

Additionally, the site continues to be on the forefront of online publishing, creating in-house infographics, list stories and other projects aimed at presenting news and commentary in a way most engaging for readers. SeafoodSource.com is also the official media source of the industry’s largest trade shows, including Seafood Expo North America and Seafood Expo Global.

The online editor should have online writing experience and knowledge of SEO best practices. Industry contacts and a willingness to network and serve as the face of SeafoodSource.com is also desired.
