Seafood Expo Global and Seafood Processing Global are expanding yet again this year, moving into additional space at the Brussels Expo Center in Brussels.
The show, taking place 21 to 23 April, will expand the exhibit space into a new hall, Hall 8, to accommodate the growing number of exhibitors at the global seafood show, according to Diversified Communications, the organizer of the event and parent company of SeafoodSource.
“This has been an exciting year to see the event grow and expand to become the largest edition in its history,” said Liz Plizga, group VP for Diversified. “The expo has surpassed last year’s numbers in terms of exhibit space and is more than 1000 m2 larger than the 2014 event, occupying 36,067 m2 of exhibit space.”
Plizga said more than 1,700 companies from more than 70 countries will exhibit at the show. In 2014, the show attracted more than 25,000 buyers and suppliers from 150 countries, all representing importers, exporters, wholesalers, restaurants, supermarkets, hotels and other retail and foodservice companies.
“The exposition’s strength is in its ability to attract the strong buying power of the global seafood industry for three days of conducting business, networking, discovering the latest trends in the industry and sourcing new products,” Plizga said.
The show will also feature the prestigious Prix d’Elite awards recognizing the best new products of the year developed for the European seafood market.
