Founded in 1948, SeaPak pioneered a method of individual quick freezing (IQF) that helped it to become a giant in the frozen retail sector, selling peeled, deveined and quick-frozen shrimp, later adding raw, breaded shrimp, fish sticks and fish portions. Today, SeaPak produces America’s No. 1-selling retail frozen shrimp brand within the specialty seafood category. In addition, SeaPak now has several lines of frozen seafood products, including popcorn shrimp, jumbo butterfly shrimp, shrimp poppers, clam strips, crab cakes, fish and salmon burgers, and fish bites made with Alaska pollock. SeaPak has been owned by Rich Products, based in Buffalo, New York since 1976.
