An American frozen seafood company is teaming up with the American subsidiary of an Italian firm to sell frozen tuna to markets in the United States and Canada.
Tristan International, of Dania Beach, Florida, has formed a marketing partnership with PanaPesca USA, the Pembroke, Mass.-headquartered subsidiary of Italy-based PanaPesca Group, to sell Tristan’s Ultra-Low Temperature (ULT) tuna. The “super-frozen” tuna is frozen upon harvest at minus 76 degrees Fahrenheit for sashimi grade, without the use of additives or preservatives.
“PanaPesca is the perfect sales partner to pioneer our ULT tuna,” said Gabriella Perotti, president of Tristan International. “Their history and excellent reputation in both the foodservice and retail seafood industries will provide immediate benefits and bring a much needed solution to menu’s and retail counters across the U.S. and Canada. I could not be more pleased.”
