U.S. Seafood company Harbor Seafood has announced it is hiring an industry veteran as its new director of retail/club sales, and promoting another manager to field sales director.
The company, based in New Hyde Park, N.Y., has hired Lars Schweig for the retail sales position. Schweig has a long history in the seafood industry, now representing the family’s fifth generation to work in seafood. He has worked for 22 years in the industry, first at a smoked fish processing facility owned by his family, and later at seafood distributor Supreme Lobster.
Schweig also holds a Master’s degree in business administration focusing on international business. He will handle Harbor Seafood’s retail sales team, and develop the company’s customer base and products.
In related news, the company promoted Jon Heinold to field sales director. Heinold, served previously as regional sales manager for the mid-Atlantic region.
