VASEP asks US to reconsider tra antidumping duties

The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) has asked the U.S. Department of Commerce to reconsider its evaluation of anti-dumping duties on Vietnamese tra fish imports.

It said the DOC should respect the interests of US consumers, Vietnamese farmers, and trade relations between the two countries.
According to VASEP, Vietnam’s tra fish exports to the US do not affect the US’s mudfish industry but creates jobs for many Vietnamese workers and assures a stable supply of high-quality fish fillets for US consumers.

VASEP called on the DOC to be fair and reasonable in its administrative review of the anti-dumping lawsuit against Vietnam’s tra fish, thereby opening a new period of cooperation, democracy, and mutual benefit for the two countries.
