Vietnam’s tuna exports to Netherlands surge

Vietnamese tuna fish is being favored in the Netherlands, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Processors (VASEP).

Since 2005, the volume of tuna from developing countries imported to the Netherlands has dropped 16 percent a year.

Now, 18 percent of the European country’s tuna import volume is from Mexico, 13 percent from Vietnam, 7.2 percent from Costa Rica, 3.8 percent from Indonesia, 2.7 percent from Morocco and 2.5 percent from Panama.
