Lobster rolls may be a staple on a lot of menus, but the lobster burger is beginning to become a force of its own.

For example, In London, U.K., the American diner Honky Tonk launched the "Glamburger," boasting a GBP 1,100 (USD 1,412, EUR 1,237) price tag. Although the lobster isn’t alone, it’s the feather in the cap of this dish, which features a brioche bun covered in gold leaf, kobe beef, New Zealand venison, Canadian lobster and truffle brie.

In the U.S., “The 7-7-7 Kobe Beef and Maine Lobster Burger” at Paris, Las Vegas, U.S.A., Le Burger Brasserie is the perfect choice to celebrate winning a jackpot at the city’s casinos. The chef has spared no expense, sourcing one of the most sought-after Japanese beefs, topping it with brie cheese and pancetta, then crowning it with eight ounces of Maine lobster. A drizzle of 100-year-aged balsamic vinegar rounds it all out and, to wash it down, a bottle of Dom Perignon. All for USD 777 (EUR 681).
