Kristján Þ. Davidsson has been named chairman of Icelandic seafood company HB Grandi.
Davidsson has more than 30 years’ experience in fisheries and finance in Iceland and overseas. He is also currently owner/CEO of investment companies ISDER ehf. and Vidskiptathroun ehf., and a board member at Icelandic seafood processing technology company Valka.
His career has also included being Iceland’s representative for the North Atlantic Seafood Forum (NASF), managing director of the Icelandic Aquaculture Business Association, and board member of Icelandic bank Landsbankinn hf.
Following HB Grandi’s annual meeting on 29 March, its board now comprises Davíðsson, Anna G. Sverrisdóttir (deputy chairman), Eggert Benedikt Guðmundsson, Kristrún Heimisdóttir and Magnús Gústafsson.
