Norma’s, a casual breakfast and lunch spot located inside the posh Le Parker Maridien hotel in midtown New York City, has become world-renowned for its opulent “Zillion Dollar Omelette,” which actually costs USD 1,000 (EUR 939). The base for the dish is a classic frittata, with eggs, cream and chives as well as the meat from a whole lobster. The signature addition is either one ounce or 10 ounces of sevruga caviar. The one-ounce dish costs USD 100 (EUR 94), and the upsell on the 10-ounce version comes with the tagline “Norma dares you to expense this.”
