Now in its fourth generation of family ownership, the Frisch family took what was once a small retail fish market in West Jacksonville, Florida and turned it into a half-a-billion dollar company. Beaver Street Fisheries imports, manufactures and distributes frozen seafood products, marketing them under the Sea Best brand. With more than 1,600 individual products in its repertoire, Beaver Street offers one of the largest seafood selections in the United States to customers that include retail grocers, foodservice distributors and other large users of their products. A company affiliate, Tropic Seafood, harvests and processes lobster tail and other seafood in the Bahamas, and sells it under the Island Queen and Island Prince brands.
