Clean Seas struggles with kingfish mortality

Kingfish production at Clean Seas Tuna has hit a snag with two major problems affecting this season’s yellowtail kingfish harvest.

The problems at the company’s grow out pens in Arno Bay will see the average kingfish mortality in the annual harvest double.

The company’s CEO Dr. Craig Foster said the problems had been caused by weather and some of the fish contracting an intestinal virus.
