Greek fish farming company names new board, CEO

Greek fish farming company Nireus Aquaculture has formed a new board of directors and named Anthonios Chachlakis its new CEO.

Chachlakis is taking over for former CEO Aristides Belles, who will remain president of the new board of directors. He has worked for Nireus for the past 20 years in a variety of positions, most recently deputy CEO. He is also member of the board of directors of subsidiaries for the company, and has served since 2012 as general secretary of the Federation of Greek Maricultures.

In addition to Belles, Nicholaos Chaviaras is listed in the new board as “Vice President, Non-Executive Member.” Other members of the new board, Petros Fronistas; Christina Sakellaride; Leto Ioannidou; Constantinοs Lambrinopoulos; Markos Komondouros and Anna Pouskouri were all listed as “Independent Non-Executive Member.”

The company created the new board and named Chachlakis CEO at its general meeting on 5 May. The board’s term will expire on 5 May 2020.
