Acme Smoked Fish Corp. on Thursday added a new product to its Ruby Bay® smoked seafood line. King Salmon Jerky is now available for delivery to U.S. supermarkets, convenience stores and other retail outlets, according to the Brooklyn, N.Y.-based company.
King Salmon Jerky is an all-natural, ready-to-eat product packaged in 1.25-ounce, re-sealable “snack packs,” distributed by Acme in boxes of 12.
The jerky is made from wild-caught Alaska king salmon that’s hand cut and prepared using the company’s signature seasoning recipes. The fish is slowly smokes for hours using cherry and alder woods to give it an “intense, aromatic and mildly woodsy taste.”
“Our newest King Salmon Jerky line extends the healthy, upscale Ruby Bay smoked seafood brand into a compact and portable pack,” said Gabriel Viteri, Acme’s VP of strategy and business development. “A delicacy ideal for foodies and adventure seekers on-the-go, King Salmon Jerky is naturally high in omega-3 fatty acids, protein and vitamin D.”
King Salmon Jerky is the latest product to join the Ruby Bay line, which features more than 25 certified-kosher products, including smoked salmon and lox, fish salads, fish spreads and herring.
Founded in 1954, Acme is a family-owned and -operated smoked seafood producer and distributor.
