Live Maine lobster, spiny lobster tails, Maryland crab cakes, bacon-wrapped scallops and an array of chowders and bisques are among the seafood items now available for home delivery through East Coast Gourmet’s new Web site and recipe forum.

Launched on Tuesday, EastCoastGourmet.com features the Lowell, Mass., company’s own line of seafood products, ranging from Nantucket Lobster Chowder (two 20-ounce boilable pouches for USD 39) to Baltimore Surf & Turf (8-ounce filet mignon with two crab cakes for USD 64) to Maine Event Lobster Pie (two pies each with 8 ounces of lobster meat for USD 68).

Gift certificates, recipes and cooking tips can also be found on the Web site, in addition to a Design Your Own Lobster Dinner, where patrons can pick among a variety of items to create a three-course seafood dinner. For example, patrons can choose New England Clam Chowder as the starter, Filet Mignon as the entrée and Apple-Blueberry Crumb Pie as the dessert.

What’s more, the site features a Fresh Seafood Blog and Seafood-Lobster Forum, in which customers can share their favorite recipes and cooking tips.
