King of Louisiana Seafood crowned

Chef Chris Lusk beat out 11 other chefs to be crowned the King of Louisiana Seafood on Saturday.

Lusk, executive chef at Café Adelaide, won the third annual Louisiana Seafood Cook-Off with his Louisiana Shrimp and Crab Noodle Bowl.

He will represent Louisiana in the seventh annual Great American Seafood Cook-Off on 7 August during the Louisiana Foodservice Expo at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

Diana Chauvin, executive chef at La Thai Uptown in New Orleans, came in second with her Louisiana Seafood with spicy coconut green curry. Third went to Anthony Spizale, executive chef of The Rib Room at OMNI Royal Hotel in New Orleans, for his Sauteed Louisiana Seafood with fine herbs, crab emulsion and local zucchini and squash.
