King & Prince Seafood has introduced a line of roll-your-own sushi kits.
The kits, aimed at non-commercial foodservice including college and university markets, allow operators to prepare sushi utilizing their current labor force while providing higher profits than hiring a sushi chef or purchasing frozen commissary-sourced sushi.
The company is marketing Sushi Bob as fast, fresh, convenient, healthy and affordable. The kits contains freshly frozen seafood and freshly frozen pre-sheeted rice. The line features five kits including smoked salmon, tuna, tempura shrimp, crab surimi and King & Prince’s Lobster Sensations. Each kit yields 32 rolls of sushi.
A starter kit also offers a sushi chef coat and hat, bamboo mats, sauce bottles and a sign available for the roll-your-own sushi station.
“We are excited to provide our customers with a profitable, easy way to prepare sushi. Sushi Bob ensures the highest quality product and minimal waste,” said Michael Alexander, VP sales and marketing. “Sushi Bob is an example of King & Prince’s commitment to deliver operators innovative seafood solutions."
