Landry’s Inc. will build a USD 60 million food and amusement development on the historic Pleasure Pier in Galveston, Texas, the company said Monday.??
Houston-based Landry’s will make the 1,130-foot-long Pleasure Pier home to a 450-seat Bubba Gump Seafood Co. restaurant, the first in Texas, and a new quick-service extension of that 33-unit concept called Gump on the Run. ??
Landry’s bought the Bubba Gump brand in November 2010, adding to its portfolio of restaurant, gambling and hospitality properties. Landry’s also expects to add to that portfolio this week with the scheduled closing on the USD 116.6 million purchase of the 77-unit Morton’s Restaurant Group of Chicago.
