Saucy Fish rolls out breaded cod products
The Saucy Fish Co. is rolling out two new frozen breaded cod products across Asda stores.
The new cod croquette products, inspired by the latest trends in informal Spanish dining, feature cod and potato encased in a crispy coating with a saucy center. The new line boasts a variety of flavors, including Cod Croquettes with a Cracking Garlic and Herb Center, and Cod Croquettes with a Punchy Smoked Paprika Center.
“As a result of studying and researching the impact of rising trends like flexitarian diets on consumers’ shopping and dining choices, we have released our new coated range, including the two new Croquette products,”Amanda Webb, sales and marketing director of Saucy Fish, said in a press release.
“With this new range, we’ve also aimed to minimize cooking times, in response to the reduction in time people are willing to spend on cooking meals and the tasty Croquettes can go from freezer to fork in just 15 minutes,” Webb added.
The croquettes products are available at Asda on a promotional offer of GBP 1.50 (USD 1.88, EUR 1.67) for a pack of six.
“Working with Asda has been a brilliant fit for us and we’re confident that both flavors of the Croquettes will be snapped up by shoppers in the freezer aisle," Webb said. "As part of our new innovative range, we’re confident both Croquette options will be the boldest fish products in the Asda freezer aisle and show how the Saucy brand can continue to evolve to consumer needs."
The product launch is supported by marketing across public relations, social media, and paid media. Saucy is also partnering with influencer Channel Mum, targeting families looking for tasty options to bring interest back to dinner times.
“Using two of their key influencers, the partnership will see social content across the Channel Mum social channels and influencer channels that have a combined reach of 227,000,” Saucy said.
