3.) “Summer of Seafood” Gulf of Mexico seafood promotions
From June through August, participating Mississippi Seafood Trail restaurants are treating diners to special sustainable Gulf seafood dishes as part of the annual “Summer of Seafood.” The culinary trail is comprised of 62 participating restaurants across the state serving crab, oysters, shrimp, and various finfish from the Gulf of Mexico.
"We commend Mississippi's restaurant industry for recognizing the importance of supporting the domestic shrimping industry and educating customers on the benefits of serving a wild-caught and superior ingredient like wild American shrimp," David Veal, executive director of the American Shrimp Processors Association, told SeafoodSource.
