– The CEO of Miami, Florida, U.S.A.-based salmon firm BluGlacier, Sebastian Goycoolea, is stepping down after almost 12 years.

Goycoolea announced his departure via LinkedIn, calling his tenure rewarding.

“My deepest appreciation goes to our amazing team for their dedication, hard work, and everything we have accomplished together,” Goycoolea said. “I couldn't be prouder of what we have built."

Prior to leading BluGlacier, Goycoolea was a sales manager for Chile-based Blumar for nearly six and a half years, as well as a sales manager for Marel's Chilean business for two years.

“I leave with great memories, lasting friendships, and enormous gratitude,” Goycoolea said on LinkedIn. “Wishing the entire BluGlacier team all the very best as I look forward to my next chapter.”

– Billund, Denmark-based Globaq Solutions recently hired Frederik Sørensen as its new head of aquaculture and its co-owner starting 2 November.

Existing team members Kristoffer Lund and Carlos Ardissoni will also become co-owners alongside Sørensen.

These moves come as the company is focusing on client advisory and project development over the next year by supporting investors, developers, and project owners on various stages of aquaculture products.

"We are seeing increasing demand for partners who can provide strategic advice while also taking responsibility for practical execution," Sørensen said. "With a strengthened ownership group and organization, we are positioning ourselves to support the development of aquaculture projects worldwide for many years to come."

Additionally, the company said it sees potential in established and emerging commercial species in both freshwater and saltwater environments and plans to offer increased expert assistance in engineering, equipment supply, installation, and biological support.

"With more than 40 years of combined industry experience and experience from over 150 projects globally, we strongly believe that we can be a valuable partner in the continued development of the aquaculture industry," Globaq Solutions Founder and CEO Christian Sørensen said. "We see significant potential across species, technologies, and markets, and we look forward to supporting and serving even more clients in the years ahead."
