Ocean Beauty Seafoods added a West Coast sales manager, and Ron Christianson took on the marketing responsibilities formerly directed by Tom Sunderland. Trident hired Sunderland as its salmon category manager in July.
Christianson was officially named as Ocean Beauty’s vice president of sales and marketing after previously serving as vice president of domestic sales.
Meanwhile, Cheri Rhodes, who is based on Oakland, California, will serve as Ocean Beauty’s regional sales manager for the West Coast. Rhodes will call on both retail and foodservice accounts. Ocean Beauty also added a Midwest sales manager and East Coast sales manager in March.
“The expansion of Ocean Beauty’s sales team is designed to assist with the growth in our value-added and smoked product business, and to facilitate growth for Findus products in the future,” Christianson told SeafoodSource.
Rhodes has held sales positions at Slade Gorton and Sonoma Seafood, and most recently she was vice president of retail sales for Tai Foong. Her career started with more than a decade working in the wine industry with retailers and foodservice operators.
