Praxair changing name to Linde following merger

Praxair Inc., a Linde company, is now officially changing its name to Linde, the company announced in a press release.

Praxair is changing its name following the merger of Praxair, Inc., and Linde AG. According to the release, the primary customer contacts for all products and services will remain the same.

Praxair manufactures and supplies industrial gas-based equipment for a number of industries, including seafood. The company’s cold-chain products, such as the CRYOLINE CF Cabinet Freezer, have been designed with seafood processors in mind, the company said.

Linde, as well, is a leading industrial gas and engineering company, with worldwide sales in 2019 of USD 28 billion (EUR 25 billion).

“The combined product and service portfolios of the new Linde offer customers more options to improve operational efficiency and plan for future growth,” the newly-merged company said in the release. “Linde remains committed to providing the same reliable, high-quality products and services that our U.S. customers have come to expect. With 80,000 employees in more than 100 countries, we are united behind our commitment to safety, integrity, community, inclusion, and accountability in all we do.”

The change will be effective on 1 September, after which Praxair will operate under the Linde name.
