Del Pacifico expands sales of wild-caught shrimp burgers to Central Market

Sinaloa, Mexico-based Del Pacifico Seafoods, which specializes in wild-caught Mexican shrimp, is expanding the sales of its “Fair Trade-Certified Shrimp Burger” to Central Market stores.

Central Market, an American gourmet grocery store chain, is owned by H-E-B Grocery Company and operates in the U.S. state of Texas. Del Pacifico’s product, the company said, is made with sustainable wild-caught shrimp chopped by hand, with no fillers or preservatives.

“Sold frozen, these flavorful shrimp burgers only need a few minutes per side on the grill or in a cast-iron pan before they hit the plate,” the company said in a release. The product, the company said, can be found in the frozen section of Central Market.

Del Pacifico recently launched a line of farmed-based products for the first time at Seafood Expo North America in March 2022. The new products were developed to help the company sustain its growth after significant year-over-year increases in demand for its products, Del Pacifico CEO Rubén Castro said at the expo.
