Schwan’s Home Delivery adds Parmesan Alaskan Pollock to its seafood offerings

Schwan’s Home Delivery has partnered with the Association of Genuine Alaska Pollock Producers (GAPP) – as part of the latter’s North American Partnership Program – to offer Parmesan Alaskan Pollock to its customers, according to a GAPP press release.

This adds to Schwan’s seafood portfolio, which already includes Beer Battered Wild Alaskan Pollock. For the new product, pollock filets are flash-frozen directly after catch and coated in a butter Parmesan sauce, then individually vacuum sealed for freshness.

Schwan’s, an American meal delivery service since 1952, offers its customers more than 300 meal-ready frozen foods, which are delivered directly to the customer’s doorstep. It is the country’s largest direct-to-consumer frozen fulfillment company. Customers can use Schwan’s website, mobile app, or reach the company by phone to order.

Schwan’s is using funding obtained from the third round of GAPP’s partnership program to help launch the new product. In order to market the product, Schwan’s plans to launch an ad campaign including a national catalogue, website product promotions, and targeted emails. The firm will also highlight the product to customers directly at their doors.

“If the goal of the partnership is to put Wild Alaska Pollock in front of more people, in more ways, more often globally, then this partnership certainly delivers: we are, quite literally, knocking on the door with delicious Wild Alaska Pollock,” GAPP CEO Craig Morris said.

“This campaign is designed to reach millions of consumers with high frequency digital and direct sales,” Morris added. “That’s exactly the kind of impact we’re looking to have: getting new consumers to try and buy our fish because we’re confident once they do they’ll keep coming back for more. Food is bringing people together now more than ever and our ability to reach consumers who are in their homes with sustainable, nutritious and delicious Wild Alaska Pollock is more important than ever.”
