Revo Foods launches three new plant-based seafood analog products

Revo Foods' new products

On 12 September, 2022, Vienna, Austria-based Revo Foods released three new plant-based seafood analog products, introducing the world’s first-ever plant-based salmon spread and gravlax.

The products, Graved Salmon, Salmon Spread, and Tuna Spread and will first be launching in Austrian supermarkets coming soon to Denmark, Germany, and the U.K. In November 2021, the start-up expanded distribution of its 3D-printed plant-based products across 18 European countries and recognized as a leader in the plant-based seafood analog industry.

“With the release of these three unique products, we reached a new milestone in the dynamic market of plant-based seafood alternatives," Revo Foods CEO Robin Simsa said. "Not only are we the first company in the world to release a plant-based alternative to graved salmon and salmon spread, but with our more than 2,500 selling points all across Europe, we are having a real impact on sustainable seafood products.”

Revo Foods uses fiber-dispersion technology to enable the plant-based proteins to combine to individual fiber strands to replicate the taste and consistency of wild-caught tuna. The company said the fiber dispersion technology will be used for more realistic seafood alternatives in the future.

The company additionally announced as of mid-September it will be listed at an additional 1,000 stores in Germany.
